Case 5 - ecp23, Thymus Pathology
Presented by: Mauro Papotti, Torino, Italy

Male, 49 years old.
After development of dyspnoea and shortness of breath, a mediastinal mass was discovered and resected. The tumor was 9x9 cm in size and 170 gms in weight. On cut surface, an apparently circumscribed, white-yellow, solid tumor with hemorrhagic areas and small cystic spaces was observed.

The neoplasm was partially surrounded by a fibrous capsule and on all histological sections had an architecture similar to that of the submitted glass slide.
